Finnish Kuksa Mug - Single Handle 150ml
These wonderful Kuksa mugs are made from birch burl grown naturally in Lapland, Finland, which is softened by the Northern Lights and crackling frost. These mugs are made with true craftsmanship following the ancient tradition of the indigenous Sámi people of Lapland. The Sámi lifestyle was dominated by foraging, hunting and fishing.
The twists, undulations and contortions of the birch burl’s growth gives each mug a unique grain pattern and colour - like a snowflake falling in winter, no two kuksas will ever be exactly the same.
Kuksas have continued to be popular throughout the original Sámi lands of Finland, Sweden, Norway and parts of Russia by foragers, hikers, nature lovers and by anybody who appreciates bringing a handcrafted wooden drinking vessel into the home!
After each use rinse your Kuksa mug with clean water and it’s ready for use again. (Please note, do not wash your Kuksa mug with washing-up liquid or in a dishwasher)
Tip: The aroma of the Kuksa is enhanced with the use of alcoholic spirits and coffee! Also try with Polar Nutrition’s chaga to get the full Nordic experience.
